SUGAR COOKIES
Sugar cookies are one of the simplest and sweetest recipes in the book. I love the way a simple sugar cookie can complement the room. Here's a sugar cookie recipe that is simple, fun and doesn't take but a half hour to finish.
The Recipe:- Preheat Oven to: 375℉
- Prep time: 10 minutes
- Bake for: 7 minutes
- Let cool: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
1 stick of softened butter
¾ cup of white sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 egg
1 ¼ cup of all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon of baking powder
¼ teaspoon of salt
Directions:
Step 1:
Add the softened butter; to a mixer, as well as the ¾ cup of sugar.
Mix with your blender on medium speed until blended.
Step 2:
Once the butted and sugar are blended add the egg.
Beat this on medium speed till the egg is incorporated.
Step 3:
In a separate bowl combined 1¼ cup of flour,
¼ teaspoon of baking powder and the ¼ teaspoon
of salt; mix well.
Step 4:
Add the dry mix to the wet mix ¼ cup at a time.
The cookie dough should have a soft and thick
Consistency.
Step 5:
Once all the wet and dry ingredients have
been added together add the vanilla extract.
Step 6:
Form the cookie dough into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the cookies at 375℉ for 7 minutes. After they have been cooked, let cool for 10 minutes.Step 7:
Add 1 tbsp of butter cream to a cookie. Icing and sprinkles are optional!
