What Is Food Science
Food Science is an industry involving various paths of development (“McGill University”). What we consume can affect the way we think, act, and live our lives on a day to day basis(“McGill University”).
Food Science is the educational foundation of understanding what food is and how it should be handled (“What Is Food Science? | University of Arkansas”). Educationally, food science involves: Chemistry, food engineering, nutrition, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and epidemiology(“McGill University”). Different industries inside food sciences include: Food technology, food processing and manufacturing, food research, product development, and quality control(“About Food Science and Technology”).
Overall food science is the understanding of the chemical makeup of food and the study of the physical and biological aspects of food (“What Is Food Science? | University of Arkansas”). Food science is a new and growing industry that maintains the foods we eat every day (“About Food Science and Technology”).
