Chocolate cookies
I love chocolate cookies, they melt in your mouth with a deep, rich flavor. These cookies definitely have a dark warm chocolate taste, leaving you craving more!
The Recipe:
Makes 24 small cookies
- Preheat oven to 350℉
- Prep time: 10 minutes
- Bake for: 4-6 minutes
- Let Cool: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 stick of softened butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ¾ cup of white sugar
- 1 cup of flour
- ½ cup of cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon of baking powder
- dash of salt
- 2 tablespoons of coffee (optional)
- chocolate chips (optional)
Step 1:
Add 1 stick of butter and ¾ cup of white sugar to a mixer, mix on medium speed till it is all blended.
Step 2:
Once the butter and sugar are all blended add one egg and mix well.
Step 3:
In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, a ½ cup of cocoa powder, a ½ teaspoon of baking powder, and a dash of salt; mix well.
Step 4:
Add the dry mixture gradually, along with the 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of coffee; (coffee is optional).
Do this till everything is blended.
Step 5:
Once the cookie dough is all made; line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop 1 tablespoon of the cookie dough onto the baking sheet.
Bake at 350℉ for 4 to 6 minutes.
The last step is to decorate,
top with your favorite icing or toppings!
