Carrots Were Purple?

 Did you know that carrots use to be purple; it wasn't till the 16th to 17th century that farmers mutated the carrot into a purple color. They either mutated the strains of a purple carrot to make it orange or they mixed the white and yellow root of a carrot to be orange. Now a carrot consists of a vibrant orange color and you never seem to see a purple carrot.
